Van sales in August bounce back

Van sales in August bounce back

Figures released by the SMMT (The society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) have shown that van registrations have increased by almost 23% in August. Van sales took a slight dip in July due to the financial and economic climate, but for many Augusts rise shows a healthy increase.

The chief executive of the SMTT commented on the current commercial vehicle sales market remarking, “With the commercial vehicle market up by over 20% for the year to date, the industry is optimistic, but short to medium term economic uncertainty is likely to temper the rate of future growth.” Continue reading

The Ford motor company are continually developing new cars with the most up to date security and are renowned for their advanced accessories for their many vehicles. New Fords Sports Van

Ford is going to launch a silver colours sports version of the transit van. The Latest sports Ford Transit Van is going to be adorned with black stripes and graphite wheels and will also be limited edition. The Sports Transit will be powered by the companies Euro 4 engine.

The limited editions of Ford’s Sports Transit Vans also featured a red sports van that had white stripes and graphite wheels. The initial run of 100 vans sold out quickly so another 150 where produced of which 40 are still for sale. Continue reading

Commercial vehicle registrations increase again!

Commercial vehicle registrations increased again this month bringing a ray of light to many car and van dealers around the UK. Figures show that the demand for new commercial vehicles increased by 1.5% in June of this year, the comparison was drawn from figures relating to the same period from last year throughout the European Union.

Small and light commercial vehicles that weigh up to 3.5 tonnes saw total unit sales of 1,001,579 with an increase in all European countries except for Spain. The New Low-Fat Bentley Continental Supersports

Its good to see that despite the economic downturn that everyone is mumbling about, the United Kingdom is still holding its own in the luxury car market, with the Bentley Motor Company bucking the trend as many other car manufacturers are tightening their belt.

Bentley have redesigned and modified the “Continental” model in race trim for the new GT “Supersports”, put the car on a weight-loss program reducing it down by 110kg and beefed up the suspension and the all-wheel drive transmission is set to 60:40 front to rear, giving more traction to the rear wheels. The engine is boosted by 20bhp to 621bhp which makes for an earth shattering 0-60mph to a mere 3.7 seconds, for a car that weigh’s 2.24 tonnes, that’s amazing!
